Last updated: February 23, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using General Context (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and General Context (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Description of Service

General Context provides UX attestation for AI-generated features. The Service validates that features work for all personas, edge cases, and accessibility requirements before they ship. The Service includes:

  • A Slack-native interface for describing feature ideas in natural language
  • Sandboxed environments that build features against your real codebase
  • AI personas that test features for UX quality, edge cases, and accessibility via browser automation
  • Structured attestation reports that trace findings back to the original feature spec
  • Pull request creation from validated features for engineering review

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Promptly update your account information if it changes
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Codebase Access and Sandbox Usage

The Service requires access to your codebase to build and validate features. By connecting your repository, you:

  • Authorize us to clone and build your codebase in isolated sandbox environments
  • Represent that you have the authority to grant such access to your organization's code
  • Acknowledge that sandbox environments are isolated and have no access to production systems or live data
  • Understand that code changes generated in sandboxes do not affect your codebase unless explicitly graduated to a pull request
  • Accept that sandbox sessions and their artifacts are retained for 90 days by default

5. Third-Party Integrations

The Service integrates with third-party platforms. By connecting these services, you:

  • Authorize us to access and process data from those services as described in our Privacy Policy
  • Represent that you have the authority to grant such access
  • Acknowledge that third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies
  • Understand that we are not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party services

You may disconnect any integration at any time through your account settings.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other sandbox environments, or underlying systems
  • Attempt to escape sandbox isolation or access production systems through the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
  • Process codebases or data that you do not have the right to process

7. User Content and Data

Your Content: You retain all rights to your codebase, feature descriptions, and data you input into the Service (“User Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service.

Generated Content: The Service generates code changes, attestation reports, and validation findings based on your User Content. You own any generated content, subject to any third-party rights in the underlying User Content.

Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any codebase or data you connect to the Service. You are responsible for reviewing all generated code changes before merging them into your production codebase.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by General Context and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

9. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence to build features and generate attestation reports. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated code may contain bugs, security vulnerabilities, or other issues
  • Attestation reports may not catch all UX issues, edge cases, or accessibility problems
  • All generated code should be reviewed by qualified engineers before merging to production
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content or attestation findings
  • You are responsible for the final decision to ship any feature validated through the Service

10. Subscription and Payment

Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription. If you purchase a subscription:

  • You agree to pay all applicable fees
  • Subscriptions will automatically renew unless you cancel before the renewal date
  • Prices may change with reasonable notice
  • Refunds are provided in accordance with our refund policy

11. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Sandbox environments depend on third-party compute infrastructure and may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any service interruptions.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GENERAL CONTEXT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or any personal information stored therein
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service
  • Any bugs, errors, or issues in AI-generated code or attestation reports
  • Any damages resulting from code changes merged into your production codebase
  • The conduct of any third party on the Service

Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CODE OR ATTESTATION REPORTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless General Context and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

15. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately and all sandbox snapshots and artifacts will be deleted within 30 days. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco, California.

17. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and General Context regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
